Taekwondo

We train monday and wednesday at 18:00-19:30pm.
We train in the gymhall on Vibeengskolen, Vibeng Allé 2, 4690 Haslev.


The minimum age is 13 years to go on the team.
All levels and belt degrees are welcome.
We run as warm-up every odd weeks. Bring running shoes and clothes that fits the weather!

All students have to go through a start-up interview after some lessons, when they want to registrer in the club.


We train in the dobok, which is the overdraft suit. If you don't have a dobok, you can train in loose clothes. We also train barefoot. Indoor shoes can be arranged if you have foot problems.
In the long term, the student must buy his or her own equipment for combat training, which includes; vest, leg and arm protectors, crotch guards and helmet. This is due to hygiene and convenience.

About Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a martial art coming from South Korea. The martial art is one originates from Karate, but here about 70% legs and 30% arms are used, unlike karate that uses much more arms. I The Taekwondo training is there basic form (technique), poomsae and taeguek (Determined patterns) and fight sparring.
Taekwondo offers many benefits for both body and mind. The martial arts is a super kind of exercise that can be adapted to all ages and limitations. You get a good body control and train all muscles in the body. The training can be both intensive and calm.
Of course, you will learn self-defense, both direct techniques and completely unconscious techniques that can be used for self-defense.
Discipline is part of Taekwondo and cannot be avoided. You will definitely develop your focus and concentration.
Even Though Taekwondo is an individual sport, you will at the same time form a community and social relations. You will get to know other people who shares the same spirit for martial art as you. You will have to cooperate with others, in the form of kicks on pillows and sparring with each other.
In the end but not least, promotes Taekwondo values such as respect, discipline and accountability, which contributes to personal development and character building.
In total, Taekwondo is an effective way to improve both physical and mental well-being, while developing vital skills and values.
